Give It A Name

After months of agonizing debate, I've finally decided to start a new blog. A serious blog. A real blog. A blog for the ages, that will be thought provoking, stimulating, and witty. A blog that will tear down walls and dampen panties. The blog of all blogs.

Thou shall have no other blogs before mine.

Or it will be just another pointless endeavor and a chore for all my friends to have to read. One of the two. If I was a betting man, and I am, I would put my money on the latter.

I highly doubt that my opinions on the various, mostly infantile subjects that interest me are worthy of an audience. Nor are the occasional short stories that I will post. Nonetheless, I'm committed to writing a blog, and it will hopefully be at least somewhat entertaining for both those who feel obligated to read it, and those who simply stumble upon it.

The biggest question now though is, what to call the beast? A blog's title is like the cover art of a book. It won't make the material inside any better, but it might at least draw some attention to it.

Here are the few ideas I have so far:

- Captain Oblivious and His Statements of Delusion

- Casa De Faux Pas (since I will undoubtedly say something completely stupid in every single blog).

- deVoid (I like this one because it hints at the levity in the trivial subject matters I will undoubtedly discuss).

- The Biggest Loser (Self Deprecation is the highest form of humor, especially when it's true).

- The Deepest Thoughts of a Shallow Mind

- The Only One Drinking

- The Seedy Side of a Seamy Mind

- Fire Josh McDaniels (It's never too early to get the movement started).

- The Unpublishable (for obvious reasons).

For now it will be called the unnamed blog. If anyone out there likes one of the ideas above, or if you have a better one, let me know. Just remember this though, the name has got to be strong, so you had better bring it.

This isn't just some name. It's the name of the blog to end all blogs. Either that, or it's for the blog that dodges your kicks while it tries to hump your leg.

I'm betting the latter.
